Frequently Asked Questions
One on One Football is an online platform that connects accredited AFL coaches with footballers for private coaching sessions. Like our name, these sessions can be tailored either as a one on one session or group session. We are exclusively Australian Football and all coaches are AFL accredited.
  • Sign up for free and you’ll receive your login details
  • Search for an AFL coach in your area
  • Scroll through the lists of coaches that are in your area
  • Find the coach for you by searching for their area of expertise - i.e kicking, marking etc
  • Coaches will have a rating (out of 5 stars) and recent reviews
  • Message the coach to ask more questions
  • Each coach will have their list of prices for sessions
  • Check availability and specific location of your coach
  • Request booking
Footballers can buy a “single session” or a "package of sessions" off a coach in the form of coupon(s). Once paid for, footballers can request session times with the coach (according to the coach’s published availability). The coach will be automatically notified of the request. Once the session has been accepted by the coach, the booking will appear in the Sessions tab under under Upcoming and you’re good to go!
Payment is taken instantly from your credit card when you initially purchase your session(s). We then hold the funds and only distribute them once the coach has marked the session as complete.
We take a 2.95% fee to cover all of our services and administration fees, this is charged on top of your session price.
This is unlikely and we apologize if it occurs. We give the coach 48 hours to accept your session request. If the time elapses or the coach declines your session request, they should send you a message to re-schedule. If not, send us a message at and we will transfer your session credit(s) over to another coach!
Every One on One coach is a accredited AFL coach. We also ensure a background check and interview process, along with a working with children card.
Yes we cater for both male and female footballers in any age group. We believe the sooner a player can get one on one training the better but we also think that an experienced player who needs the extra training will still improve and maximise their ability.
You sure can. If you have any further questions or would like more details, please feel free to message the coach. No personal details or contact information can be exchanged until the session is booked. This is for privacy and security reasons.
You have up until 2 hours before the session to reschedule or cancel the session. This can be due to an injury, bad weather or unforeseen circumstances.

If you choose to reschedule, please edit the session through your sessions tab in your dashboard (profile). If you are on your desktop this is located at the far right of your session details. Click on the pencil icon and follow the prompts. On your phone, scroll to the left to access the pencil icon.

If you decide to cancel because you don’t know when you will be able to complete the session you can cancel the session (within the time limit) and your cancelled session will be placed back into your sessions account for you to use when you decide to complete the session.
We can only accept refund requests due to the following reasons:

  • My coach has moved to another location/state and is not able to coach me anymore AND there are no other coaches in my area for a credit transfer.
  • My coach is not part of the platform anymore AND there are no other coaches in my area for a credit transfer.
*If there is another coach in your area, email us at and we will transfer your session credits to the alternative coach.
Footballers are allowed to postpone sessions up to two hours before the session is due. If a player postpones they must also give a reason. When a player postpones, the session coupon will still be considered valid and they are then able to request another session at a later date.

If neither of the parties postpone and it is after the time that the session is booked for, it will be assumed that the session went ahead and the session ‘coupon’ used to book the session will be considered complete and will no longer be able to be used.

If either party have any complaints, they can contact One on One Football and the issue will be resolved by One on One Football.
Both footballer and coach must communicate about the issue and agree that the session won’t cancel and it will be postponed to another time or location. Once that session is completed. The Coach will note the session as completed.
You sure can with the coaches that cater for this. Please check the coach’s packages that they offer under their prices. It will show whether they do group sessions or not. If they do, please select this and communicate with your coach about this.
